Often the most efficient form of planning an assembly can begin with sketching. This section view was drawn on several layers of marker paper allowing me to 'explode' the assembly as I work - the inspiration for this method comes from a hand-drawn animation course I took in college.

We were trying to develop a closed filling system to prevent DIY filling of the reservoir.  Here I made a very quick and simple jig out of RenShape to test the idea.

The next step was to develop SLA parts to validate the geometry and communicate the results to our client.

We worked closely with the Client's preferred molder, and provided options for the best geometry to accomplish our functional goals while simplifying the molding condition as much as possibe.

This was an early, in-context screen shot of the system in use.  Here the refillable bag is in place while filling.  

The development of this product required detailed drawing specifications and tracking of revisions as we dialed in the twist-lock-and-seal geometry.
