The client wanted to create a device to track the score and timing for a game of touch or flag American Football. They did not initially have an idea of what this product should be, but wanted a way for it to initiate it's timing with the hike of the ball. Through a series of design concepts, they gravitated towards a traditional football tee design, noting it was intuitive to the game. We took the design all the way to 5 functioning prototypes for them to test with their friends, family and investors. We also created patent drawings for them (United States Patent D654382) and provide production-ready data for quoting with vendors.

5 Prototype Shot

We created 5 identical working prototypes for this project, all with custom-made membrane switches and electronics. These were designed to be used in outdoor, possibly wet environments.
